Flavor of The Hague

Flavor of The Hague

Flavor of The Hague

Known as The Netherlands’ seat of government, The Hague is also recognised as the international city of peace and justice. A city that offers thousands of people the chance to work on innovations that help secure a better, safer and just society. The Hague is the only city outside of New York that is home to one of the six principal UN bodies, namely the International Court of Justice, and Europol.

With so many other UN bodies established here too, The Hague is the second UN city in the world. The Hague is the chosen home base of many international organisations in the fields of law and finance, IT and technology, the impact economy, social entrepreneurship and humanitarian issues. The Hague is also the home of the Dutch government and the residence of the Royal Family.

Our city is the perfect place to spend some well-deserved time off. From relaxing on the beach to admiring a real Vermeer or Mondriaan in the historic city center, the city offers endless possibilities. The Hague is the only large city in the Netherlands located so close to the sea and boasts two seaside resorts and a total of 11 kilometres of pristine coastline. There are over 4,000 shops, countless first-class restaurants, an internationally well-known dance corps, museums showcasing world-renowned art and a variety of theatres.
